The event is divided between the Konserthuset and dinner in the room of City Hall. Between medicine, chemistry, physics, economics and literature, I would just mention the name of the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature: Herta Müller ! While to collect the Nobel Peace Prize, this time in Oslo, it was like all know the U.S. President Barack Obama! Instead
Tomorrow is the day of Saint Lucia! Again, like every year was named the Lucia of Sweden that will be around the city with her maids, to sing the songs.
This is also the week when the real cold arrives, only to hear that this fall has been done for a few days and then maybe comes the snow! Even her much-anticipated ... since we have not yet attended this year!
For me the holidays are still a few days at the gates ... and I'll be warm and the light of Sardinia to celebrate the Christmas and New Year with my family! Unfortunately the post in Brussels is blown because the trip there was! But I promise to organize another one in spring! Eating

Throat Cancer Treatment Prices

The world is a book and those who do not travel only knows the first page ! It was a cool St. Augustine to write a sentence like that. Of course Ryanair at the time did not exist, then had to be a bit more complicated to move from one end of the world! Anyway ... holy words!
Last weekend I was in Berlin! My expectations were not great ... I do not know why, a question of skin .... and instead I was pleasantly contradicted!
Immense but not chaotic, but alive and vibrant and sometimes disturbing! This is Berlin! Two overlapping worlds, East and West compared, different stories that come together and separate in that wall that sometimes there and sometimes reappears! Rich in many ways, organized and modern, ancient and Slovakia. Can you go through the underground, the Metro, tram and the double-decker bus that remind London! Imposing monuments, even more poignant to the sound of their language!
I felt strong emotions and conflicting. I appreciated and enjoyed a life that I like to call normal . People love to stroll, window shop and stay out for the pleasure to stay there. No frantic rush. The street performers enliven the evenings and brighten up the streets. Shop windows lead on the sidewalks, like streams in flood. The myriad of desserts that call you from behind the glass. The days with sun and blue sky and the clouds where the light still does its part. A cold that shrinks the bodies.
Few speak English.
I was not home, but a little remembered!
A little to smile a bit because basically in every statement there is always something in it, let me conclude the post with a custom saying ....

Halloween!
Hello everyone! After the wonderful night at the opera the Barber of Seville, came to me this morning wants to dedicate a post to the last day of October, better known as Halloween!
Halloween is not a product made in the USA, as one might easily think. Has its roots in Celtic culture of the British Isles, especially Ireland. This population was celebrating the end of summer with "Samhain," the New Year. The new year then began on 1 November, with the arrival of autumn. To the Celts in that day the veil between the world of the living and the dead became so thin that the two universes were touching them. They also believed that the spirits of dead people a year previous round in search of a new body to possess. To discourage the living made their cozy little homes, extinguished the fires in the fireplaces, and were wearing monsters to scare them. The word
Halloween is a contraction of the phrase "All Hallows Eve", that is the night of All Saints. I am the typical orange color reminiscent of the harvest, and late summer, black and announcing the impending darkness of winter!
The symbol of Halloween is the pumpkin. Undisputed star of this event is definitely Jack O'Lantern, pumpkin. Eviscerated, carved grotesque face and illuminated by a candle inside, this vegetable, which is inherited from the Irish folkrore, inspired by the legend of Jack, a drinker and avid gambler, who apparently managed to fool even the devil. At his death he was received either in Paradise or Hell. The man was condemned to wander for eternity in a dark limbo with only a coal company, given to him by Satan to illuminate his path. Jack
he endeavored to last longer that light and then put the ember in a hollowed turnip, obtaining a kind of lantern. Since then, all the night of Halloween, you can see the flame of Jack, nicknamed for this Jack O'Lantern, who wanders in search of his way.
The Irish landed in America replaced the turnips with pumpkins, and readily available in the new land much larger.

Nuts Good For Gastritis

And here we are close to the end of October! The weather is always very fast and Theodora is always too busy working between universities and, not finding enough time to write. But given that in Sweden today is a day pre-holiday (the saints are celebrated here tomorrow!) I thought to myself take some time for myself!
Making a small monthly guide I can be happy with the events that have marked this month. The first 10 days I was in Sardinia with my pupils! The trip went very well, the weather was beautiful and the places we visited were fantastic! All happy and satisfied; I primarily because I had organized everything! We hope to reply soon!
last weekend but we had the honor of having lunch at a cafe in Gamla Stan with other Italian bloggers who live in Sweden! As everyone has already written in their blogs, it was really a pleasure and above all a wonderful idea! Thank you all!
This weekend was also the one that had to change the time and go from winter / summer! Tragedy! gets dark at 16:30 hours and the last few weeks have been particularly gray too! exception of the last three days when the sun is able to overpower the clouds!
The air is crisp and smells Snow! The trees have almost completely lost their leaves, which falls on sidewalks, as they created some beautiful handmade carpets of many colors! In shop windows, they started to see the Christmas addobi coffee and start to be a pleasant and warm shelter, where you drink and eat a cake with a candle light.
Inzomma start the winter with all its pros and cons! One of the things I like to do during the winter is going to work! Tonight because I'm going to see The Barber of Seville!
Count d 'Almaviva, English rich and powerful man, could have any woman he wants, but falls in love with Rosina, an' orphan of Seville, who was under the protection Bartolo, who in turn fell in love with Rosina and wanted to marry her at all costs. September!
The month of September has unfortunately had only two posts! Given the huge number of things to do and think ... poor blog is often mistreated and abandoned! It happens very often to get at the end of the evening and do not have the desire and the strength to write to your computer! Despite this, Teodora always thinks the likely topics to be addressed quickly and reads the posts of his fellow bloggers! September, we said ... the surprise of the undersigned has shown this year as a seductive summer months with its colorful autumn colors! For almost 30 days dominated the sun and beautiful blue skies, mild temperatures, in fact I would say to the hot Swedish average, which allowed us to enjoy this last summer gash. With him, however, also comes the start of the new school year, and so I also picked up both the doctoral thesis of the young teacher of Italian books for young Swedish grannies! So slowly the great machine of routine has set in motion the beginning a little slow, rusty from the summer doing nothing and now briskly! Among the many thoughts that were supposed to turn into a post I can not mention the death of Mike Buongiorno, which left me without words .... why, when they die, great TV personality you've always known, that also means you're getting old! ouch ouch! Then I spent an afternoon watching the movie of the month at Videocracy , whose trailer was banned in Italy and in all but depopulated the Swedish cinema because the film is indeed Swedish.
little comment: the film is in the form of documentaries, M. Moore, with pieces taken from old TV shows and horrible, parts pieces of news and interviews! Nothing new in the content, again just a bad picture of our nation abroad. Omitting all the quirks of our then Chairman of the Board, on which we should write a separate blog to tell all! See the fool with Mrs. Obama!
Another experience that I have lived in this month and is worth to say a few words is the substitution of the Italian language that I did in high school here in Stockholm.
just arrived at school ... first thought was "oh my God!
Overwhelmed by the noise, chaos and the "traffic" I found the person I had to give the books and all things necessary for the lesson! So after going through the various meanderings of the school divided into several pavilions, I arrived in front of the classroom! Door with glass, such as electronic locks for hotel rooms with plastic card as the key! In the classroom there is everything ... tv, dvd, stereo ... but this is also used as classrooms where I teach are well equipped with the grannies!
Slowly, the chaos similar to that of a market where there are some fantastic offers and where all the traders screaming deal, the kids come into class players in the Italian course! With the usual face Schiff, that almost all teenagers have, they sit strictly negotiates the last benches! I introduce myself and then start the lesson! For a good 60 minutes I had to keep a tone up and decided, look into their eyes and try to make them participate in a fun way to what I was saying! The mobile phone is ubiquitous! not know good manners, respect and education! Just ask the teacher, even for obvious reasons of language code: absence of her, as if they were talking with an old friend! They talk among themselves, lie down on the shelves ... do anything but listen! The lzione went well and only 3 items I would say special did not follow, while the others listened and responded to questions! I returned home destroyed! Happy to have had this experience that I believe will be unique! As I thought at the event, I jumped on my mind that the environment school is the same as those that show Americans spent on TV in the '90s as Byside School!

But based on the experiences of my friends know for sure that at least some schools in my city, the situation has not changed much since I attended! I will always remember that when you managed to get permission to go to the bathroom during class and left few minutes longer than it should ... the "caretakers" threw some screams echoed in the empty hallways! Just as in the 15-minute break was run by the caretaker / bartender to buy the snack cafe .... but now go well, that you do about it ... is a girl of old Theodora die!

It is now almost 15 days since Theodora, tanned and dazed by the heat from the heat and Sardinia is back in the cool of Northern Stockholm. The return was soft this year defined as the time it was granted clemency! In fact, these days reigns a sweet autumn weather, with sunshine and 20 degrees!
The summer has flown away as ever fast enough! So you do not find time to devote to some posts! The return is always strappieno commitments and of the school day, from now until the end of semester!
the soul is always upset! Here is a bustle of people! There are those who go street full of expectations for the new place and new life, there are those who come here just as happy and full of ideas and dreams to achieve! Because of my projects is scheduled to leave the land of reindeer next summer, I try to live last year as special, ie as "live each day as if it were the last, even after five years if it becomes difficult!
Then it would be fun to get your advice on a new goal and how to live the last year Swedish! What would you do in my place? Look

Treviso is located in the Venetian plain and is famous for the huge presence of water!
The old town is characterized by its innumerable arcades that are useful in case of sudden storms! A network of canals through the city, making it rather special. Trees, gardens and green are the frame of a city landscape from old picture. The protagonists of the roads are the only way this bike ... almost in the center. Transport
go to the rhythm of Nordic perfection; the airport into the city, dominated by Ryanair, is connected by a bus to the train station!
Excellent location to reach in a short time in Venice, is connected by railway trains from the buss that state.

After a Midsummer "spring" we left the beautiful country! so I was in Verona, Treviso and Venice!
Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, is a real gem. As if by magic to become involved in a modern world and who knows how to perfect at times of old! Accepted in his arms, the entrance to the old town is crowned by two monumental gates that protected the city during the Roman Empire. Now before your eyes see the arena.
The little sister of the Colosseum dominates the square with all its beauty. The amphitheater of Verona was built in the first half of the first century. Third largest amphitheater in Italy after the Colosseum amphitheater of Capua, has an elliptical shape, to allow perfect acoustics in every respect and accommodate a large number of spectators. Today the Arena is located within the walls, but at one time, just as the stage today, is located just outside the city walls, for safety reasons and to facilitate the access of people from the country and also from the surrounding areas , preventing entry into the city. The latter period was dense commitments and emotions! I was visiting my prof from Sardinia, which in addition to visiting Stockholm, held a conference on Cagliari! Beautiful! In addition, there are my parents who unfortunately were not able to admire both the beauty of summer in Stockholm due to heavy rain and winter temperatures, Today we have redone a bit visiting the Millesgården, a garden island of Lindig with sculptures of Milles and his home. Now the last days before departure are dedicated to preparing the suitcases and everything you need to work on the thesis from home! Before arriving in Sardinia will spend a day in Treviso and Venice! Then the sea, beach and sea only! Fact lie .... I will be one week in Rome in the role of Indiana Jones to visit museums and libraries!

Hello .... I finally managed to take up the pen ... or rather the keyboard to write a few lines on my blog! I had just arrived on holiday in Sardinia the last time I wrote ... and now I can say that the holidays are approaching once again, I am so past 2 months .... oh oh! I'd say it was intense! ... Starting from the good news we can say Teodora has reached half its goal ... that I finished my doctoral exams! Now you start to write the thesis that should occupy another year of work. The idea is just to say goodbye to Sweden next summer and open a new chapter!
Apart from this wave of change ... the poor Theodora had to fight with superhuman powers of called spyware that have won her computer and especially the e-mail! brink of insanity .... still managed to sort it out! I always thought that the TV is not the ideal way to relax, we're not even in front the better! about half a year at home I can also see two Italian channels: RAI 1 and RAI-2. I lived for 3 years without seeing Italian TV and I can say that he was not hurt, indeed Perhaps the most peaceful sleep. The Swedish television is sometimes boring, others may be interesting and I would say unusual because you can watch movies and all those series amaricane in the original language! Last week, in fact, there was the famous Italian Song Festival held in San Remo by as many as 59 editions Orman! Even as a child I always watched the first episode to be able to talk on the clothes of the valleys, on presenter and the singers and their songs. But I never had the courage to watch it all week until the last episode that was known to be endless! I always thought it was boring, often bad songs sung by singers risen to the occasion and presenters tired of being seen behind the screen! But San Remo has always been one of those things that everybody talks about but nobody is looking! This year there was the great revolution!
Bonolis Paul, the legendary host of Bim Bum Bam when I was a child, he learned with great professionalism and make it interesting and fun to rejuvenate a program like San Remo that maybe after all this time has embraced a wide circle of people. Not the usual routine, every day something different and new. Big guests, such as benign; valets and valleys sui generis ! Inzomma a program that for the first time it has made five evenings heavy!
Equally nice was the Italian fiction that every Sunday evening cheered two hours of Sunday on RAI 1. Fool love with Stefania Rocca and Emilio Solfrizi! Themes of daily life faced by two actors so bubbly cute like them!

Yesterday ended in Sardinia elections for the new president of the Region.
The head to head, as has been described by many journalists, was among Renato Soru, the outgoing president and a certain Cappellacci, usual Berlusconi's puppet!
Sardinia that changes is the name of the coalition led by Soru which unfortunately has not reached majority.
policy I do not like and I never liked in recent years ... and I feel a real sense of disgust every time I've heard. But yesterday I went to bed with the hope that this president who has pissed off so many professionals and did enjoy many students like me could do it again!
Soru has run differently from the others for its policy of protecting the island and for its glimpse into the future through our young people. Not many regions in Italy that today's students pay for study abroad. Although
in the first period I was a little disheartened and worried, because the payments of the scholarship were not accurate, I have always appreciated the great opportunity that has given me. I share his views on tourism and the fact that Sardinia is beautiful as it is .... not with huge flows of concrete steps to the beach for the rich and stupid business people or celebrities! Sardinia is the shepherd who leads his flock to pasture, which produces a very good cheese, is that of isolated white sand beaches and azure sea, Sardinia is a fantastic island, in some respects still a virgin, maybe sometimes a little backward, sometimes all 'cutting edge .... but in any event beautiful and attractive as one of the sexiest women on the planet!
Renato .... And you that your laws, you have 50% of the Sardinian afraid that once again, as conpaesani the "continent", the launch took the hands of Berlusconi uncle! Oh what happen now?? Now that I began to savor the chance to return to my homeland .... what do you do?? lose the election! You, with your eyes that which penetrates the minds of the people, always alert, with your strong accent, dressed in striped velvet jacket and beret, worthy of the people and culture to which you belong, you just ended your speech by saying " I wish you well in this beautiful and beloved region for the next five years, the program of the coalition government which has given confidence !

I'm sure you know all Swedes are in possession of an agenda .. .
The agenda is crucial to organize their lives Swedish!
The first word to learn is: Boka Att ... a book!
This word has become almost an obsession!
I realized that I have to book everything ... oh my!
Tuesday morning I was all happy to have found the time to fit between university library and my hard-earned 55 minutes of gym!
Since January there is the possibility of pass book online to make sure you have the place, because the hall can hold only 45 people! But we must be there 10 minutes before class to receive the famous pass booked on the internet, otherwise you will lose your reservation ! eh ... if you lose three times the reservation your card will be blocked and you have to pay 100 SEK to wake! ush !..... what a drag! well Tuesday, Safe in the gym to get in advance, I booked online! Got there 15 minutes before .... there were no more seats! Well yes ... grannies so wild that I mentioned in previous posts, have no problem to pass booked online! So after I dragged the mega bag around all morning ..... I cursed in every language when I discovered that I could do my lesson No, because I had booked the damn pass! There I realized that really all you have to book here in Sweden .. ... because otherwise you're out of the loop and life becomes impossible! From now on I will have to plan in advance the gym, starting to become a more stress rather than a pleasure!
Meanwhile, I also booked a washing machine for the next week, books to be taken in the library before 12 if they want the same day around 16, otherwise it will arrive the next day after the 12, the new course will start in Swedish March, tickets to see the work Swan Lake and the last examination the doctor will do in April, the arrival of my prof from Cagliari in June and last but not least a holiday in Sardinia in April!

There is a more apt song to start the post and describe some Teodora fantozziana to grips with the beginning of this vårtermin (spring semester) that Vår for now has little! While
out the day is at odds with the night, rather invedente this time of year, I prepare breakfast for my face to the day that I have before me! It all depends on what promises out the window and the temperature my thermometer shows me! Luckily I do not shave as Fantozzi .. ha ha .... and even a bidet ... because in Sweden there .... nn so still sleepy, I drag myself into the shower!
With the hope of slipping into the asphalt to take the ice Tunnelbana I go to the university or the library!
A nice article on my favorite library was published yesterday by Corriere della Sera! Read a little ! But
Vårtermin was also the beginning of a new sporting life! Finally I decided to enroll at the gym! So two or three times a week I promise to be "Friskis och Svettis!
Like all things, even the gym can be a mirror of society!
fact here in Sweden go to the gym is very common! So with the start of the new year everyone goes to register for the new year or for the new term! Long lines at the front desk and exercise classes completely full !
So just by booking well in advance my pass I could start my classes! Guess what?? I divide the 55 minutes of gympa with about 45 wild grannies!
Who can stop them? anyone! Abs, push-ups, running ... for everything! I with his tongue out after the first 10 minutes and in their full form!
Every time is always fun! And always think about how strong the Swedish pensioners .... super busy in their hobbies of any kind!
